An EquiGym is a fully automated exercise system for horses. The EquiGym is an important tool in the development and progression of a horse’s athletic career. Research supports the idea bone that shape and mechanical properties can be affected by exercise or lack thereof. Bone is a dynamic tissue and is therefore responsive to forces placed upon it. The EquiGym helps to stimulate the horse’s musculoskeletal systems to respond and adapt to incrementally increasing levels of exercise stress.
The EquiGym operates by having the horse enter a space with partitions in front of and behind the horse. The partitions move and force the horse to walk or run around the pen at a pre-determined, controlled pace.
Other features of the EquiGym Free Walker include:
Variable speeds
Sand surface
Works in either direction
3 all-weather small paddocks allowing horses to get out of confinement but in a controlled space
